How do i stop from getting ingrown hairs and red bumps and itchiness when i shave my pubes?

Do it in the shower. Let the hot water warm up your "downstairs" and open the hair follicles. Use shaving gel or cream or foam or whatever to let the razor slide easier. When you get out put some lotion on (just a really light coat). OR use an electric razor. It wouldn't get too close to the skin and irritate it. It also won't get as close of a shave as you probably want. When the hair grows back it's gonna be itchy. There's nothing you can really do about that. Good luck!

WAX. I know it is supposed to be a "girl" thing but it will help.

look in the store for a shaving cream or something that prevents the bumps and stuff...I know they make it for women...also I would think making sure you shave opposite the hair growth, dont go sideways or anything. And the itchiness is from dryness, so be a girl and put lotion down there!

Lotion, I would think would be somewhat problematic due to the area that is being shaved. The pubic area is a large traffic area for sweat which is swarming with bacteria and if the lotion locks moisture on the skin you may have far worse problems than ingrown hairs and red bumps. The itchiness will probably still be there though.

All I can suggest is soaking the area with warm/hot water before shaving, shave in the direction of the hair, don't go over an area too many times with the razor/shaver, possibly use a shaving cream but I don't think it's necessary, shave regularly [3-4times a week, just not too often where the skin that you are removing during shaving (yes....you are removing a layer of skin or dermis) doesn't have time to grow back...thusly irritation i.e red bumps] or trim the pubes first with scissors or a beard/hair trimmer before using a razor or just don't shave at all and save you the problem unless you're wearing speedos and you have afros coming out of your trunks.

don't use a razor, a razor gets the hairs too close to the skin and they grow back weird, try using a electric trimer, a good one of choice is the Conair personal trimmer, it's what i use and i have no problems, plus the trimmer is small so it can shave better and the ladies love it.

Try waxing it should help with the ingrown hair problem and you dont have to do it as often and it doesnt itch when its growing back or when you sweat. Ide go to the beautician for it though as they know what there doing because with waxing you have to do it a certain way or you could damge the skin and it wont work if you dont put it on a take it of a certain way.

And dont stress if your shy they've had plenty of guys like that in b4 and to them its normal!
