Leg hair big trouble?

waaa!! ok so all my life I have been waxing or using a depilator. but a few years ago I started getting terrible ingrown hairs. and I mean terrible..very deep. so I would try to get them out with a needle- but now I am left with brown and red spots and wounds..my skin looks awful and nothing seems to help!

now I switched to shaving but my skin is sooo pale that the black spots are very visible and it's even uglier than before..and the brown scars from the ingrown hairs are still there and I can't wear shorts...

any suggestions? how should I fix this and start waxing again?

Leg hair big trouble?

hey im a beauty therapist and u had these ingrown hairs possibly because u never exfoliated your full body???

you have to exfoliate your body once or twice a week espescially your legs if you are waxing as when the hairs wants to come back through the skins surface, it needs a little help with a body scrub sometimes!

anyhow, if you did get ingrown hairs, you have to pick the hair out of where it is growing in and leave it - do not pluck it out as the skin around it is damaged, you have to wait till the red skin around the hair has heeled then pluck, wax or shave it out - this will then no longer leave you with the marks!!

i have this kind of problems from the epilator and i will stop using it. scrub ur legs 2-3 times a week and go back to waxing, i'll do that too. I have friends with the same problems from the epilator.

Hi this is sanet when you have finished shaving your legs put baby oil on or aqua cream on it really work i also had the same problem but if this doesn't work then the only option is to go to the skin specialist

dance dance dance!!!!! all your hairs will fall off!!!

1st you always need to exfoliate when waxing. daily use a loofa or scrub puff. That keeps the skin from clogging %26amp; thus getting ingrowns.

Keep shaving everyday for a couple of more days till you get all the hairs up %26amp; out (no ingrowns)

Then let the hair grow out for waxing. But keep exfoliating.!!!

There are also some body lotions that have alpha hydroxy in them that will also keep your skin exfoliated.and might get rid of the brown spots too.

Last...........

if you have the $$$$ you could get lasered.

chill girl!

first of all, stop the worrying and relax. your plucking and all, isn't it a little too much for your skin? the ingrown hairs will grow themselves out - but it takes time. when you take a shower JUST massage your legs with the washcloth or whatever you wash yourself with - in circular motion. it should incourage the hair to come out of the skin. and it just has to grow so let it for a while. i have the same on my knees b/cz of shaving but they are growing out of my skin ..so it's all right. and hey! go out in the sun..it is good for your body, for your skin! well that's all i can say..the solution is TIME..so i hope i helped..and btw. you are the only one who can see those "imperfections", no one else, so don't worry..no one notices those sort of things anyway.

use s strong exfoliator and a body brush.

Then apply a lotion with salicylic acid ...make sure you don't use oils or heavy lotions...good luck!
